This annual event was started by Gabrielle (Gabby) Steffey a local teenager concerned about the garbage laying along the town’s roads. So cleaning up our roads has become an annual event.
Each year on the Saturday nearest Earth Day, the town residents get together at the town hall with their ATV’S and pickup trucks. While we assign roads to the participants, everyone enjoys hot coffee with baked goodies. Then off we go, scouring the roads for papers, bottles, cans and anything else not put there by nature!
This year because Easter falls on the weekend closest to Earth Day, we have decided Clean up the Town Roads will be held on April 12th at 10am weather permitting. Alternate date will be Saturday April 26th.
